What would you do if you were interested in buying an electric vehicle but none of the car dealers where you lived stocked them and they knew nothing about electric vehicles?

John Gordon creates solutions. As a young entrepreneur involved in industrial electrical contracting projects he fell in love with electric vehicles. But when he decided to buy one in his home of Newfoundland, he found that no dealers stocked them and few dealers had any interest in selling them so he solved the problem for himself and others by starting Canada’s first multi-brand electric dealership and service centre.
Not only did John start a business called Green Rock E.V.S. because he wants to help Newfoundland to become greener, he also in 2016 expanded his business model into Even Electric which he is COO of this new global company. Even Electric has its head office in Toronto but it services customers around the world. Identifying that potential buyers often do not get support or accurate information from traditional car dealerships and they may have difficulty finding electric cars in the areas where they live, Gordon and his partners decided to create an alternative for frustrated electric vehicle buyers. Even Electric combines the best aspects of both an on-line and an in-store experience by having a cost –effective centralized processing where buyers can look through inventory on-line, pick out car and it will be shipped to the nearest Customer Centre or right to the customer’s home driveway. This gives electric vehicle shoppers more choice and it cuts down
implications of climate change and these entrepreneurs create solutions to help Canadians save the planet for future generations.
