On are way back through the Kootenays we decided to stop and recharge our own batteries In Castlegar BC.
We have put a few miles on the car, so our down day was the perfect time to take our Chevy Bolt to Kalawsky Chevrolet Buick GMC to have the tire rotated. Kalawsky Chevrolet is a dealership that is selling and servicing Chevy Bolts.
The dealership is very keen to sell electric vehicles but right now they are have challenges getting them, and they have customers waiting for cars.
As certified dealers they currently have a level 2 charger and they have a level 3 charger that is waiting for final installation work. They have not decided if this level 3 will be listed as a public charger.
The staff were really helpful and interested in electric vehicles.
Castlegar also has a level 2 Sun Country charger in the downtown area in a parking lot near the public library.
While you are waiting to charge up a wonderful way to explore Castlegar is walk around looking at the sculptures that are exhibited on the streets. Castlegar is creating itself into The Sculpture Capital of Canada with the Sculpture Walk. There is about 56 works of art displayed around town.
While strolling around perhaps stopping for a local brew or checking out the local shops you are able to see a unique collection of art from local artists and artists from all over Canada and the States.
